Parenting while watching movies feels like a minefield. Bill's challenge is how to introduce his 10-year-old daughter Claire, at her own request, to more complex entertainment than Saturday morning cartoons. So, they are going on an adventure to expand her cinematic horizons. Each episode, they'll watch a movie and then have a conversation to analyze what they saw. This summer, Claire had her first experience with sleep away camp! Naturally, we decided to dive into a camp-based horror-comedy slasher film with the Shudder original You Might Be The Killer. This movie started as a Twitter riff between authors Sam Sykes and Chuck Wendig, which just goes to show rad movie ideas can come from anywhere with a team of awesome people bring them to life. Claire shares a couple of camp stories and then we dig into some slasher tropes with this ridiculously fun movie!
